I realize the difficulty of getting people together.
My current work is largely focused on labor accounting for the sales office. A little after I joined the company, it was decided that older part-time workers would be brought in, with me as the administrator. At the time, I was in my 20s, and I often talked with the part-timers in an almost cheeky way-but that didn't build their trust. It was hard, working by myself and I was often crying on the job.
Could I gain the trust of part-time workers? By digging in to this, I found the road ahead.
So I had a change of mind in how to gain the trust of the part-time workers we were entrusting with work. And they began to suggest how to improve the ways we were doing things. I was really happy when this made them smile.
I want this to be a joyful job, one where the customer is happy, and where we are happy, too.
Changing just one task can make the job easier for the person who performs it. The customer will also be pleased with the result. I'm always thinking about our work, and the measures we can take for further improvement.
