In April 2019, we opened a food processing plant on the premises of Osaka Kizu Wholesale Market. We leverage the know-how of food processing at logistics centers and production services that the KONOIKE Group has cultivated to provide a one-stop service for multiple processing tasks (such as cutting, boiling, grilling/frying, steaming and seasoning) and advanced rapid freeze processing of Japanese food ingredients (agricultural and fishery products). Thus, we support sale to mass retailers and restaurants in Japan and furthermore, exportation.

We have adopted “Hybrid Ice,” (*1) which makes rapid freezing possible. This allows us to achieve deliveries to various destinations while preserving a live fish level of freshness. Moreover, introducing the state-of-art mechanized equipment has allowed us to fully automate everything from descaling to filleting and skin removal of fishery products. We provide stable supply and high-quality food processing.
(*1) Sherbet-like ice at -21.3°C, making possible the instant ikejime of live fish (a way to keep the freshness of live fish).

We adopted a fully automated oven to make efficient heating treatment possible. We also handle food seasoning, reproducing the delicate flavors of Japanese cuisine inside the plant. This enables us to deliver high-quality and delicious Japanese food to the world.
