Full-scale operation of fuel cell-powered forklift trucks
We have introduced environmentally friendly and convenient Toyota Industries Corporation-manufactured fuel cell-powered forklift trucks (FCFL) at the Takahama Office, which is under the control of the Tokai Branch’s Nagoya Nishi Office. The KONOIKE Group recognizes that issues affecting the global environment are shared challenges to be faced by the whole of humanity. Accordingly, the whole group is working to tackle environmental issues so that we can contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.

Hydrogen filling takes approximately three minutes. This means it is no longer necessary to stop using forklift trucks while charging, helping to realize more preplanned work.

Unlike conventional battery-powered forklift trucks, spare batteries are no longer necessary, meaning there is no longer any need to secure a storage location for spare batteries.

We adopted these forklift trucks using the Ministry of Environment’s “CO2 reduction project expense grants” and Aichi Prefecture’s “Fuel cell-powered industrial vehicle introduction grants.”
We are working actively to contribute to the environment through our business activities.

Achieving zero CO2 emissions during operation
With a client having installed and using solar-powered hydrogen-generating equipment, we established an integrated chain of “zero CO2 and zero environmental pollutants” starting with the generation of electric power through to hydrogen production and the operation of the forklift trucks.

Impact of introducing fuel cell-powered forklift trucks
As a result of introducing two fuel cell-powered forklift trucks, we have reduced CO2 emissions by 34 tons compared with the emissions that would have occurred if we had used the previous type of battery-powered forklift trucks for operations.
